In his contribution to the Hub Giovani ed Energia, Vincenzo Galasso, Director of the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Bocconi University, reflects on intergenerational justice as a cornerstone of the social contract.
Economic inequalities are only part of the picture. Political representation, social inclusion and the risk of isolation also shape the relationship between younger and older generations. In Italy, these imbalances often place young people at a particular disadvantage.
The Hub offers a space where different generations can bring their needs into the same conversation, cooperate and develop solutions capable of creating value for society as a whole. As younger generations become numerically smaller, ensuring that their voices count becomes even more important.
