Jeffrey Sachs at the opening of the third Siena Advanced School on Sustainable Development

On October, 1 Jeffrey Sachs, UN SDSN President and Director of the Center of Sustainable Development at Columbia University opened the third edition of Siena Advanced School on Sustainable Development, giving an online lesson with the title “Rethinking  the governance for sustainable development”. He debated on the possible solutions towards a path able to fight the negative effects of climate change and the global crises caused by the pandemic. The lesson was also included in the program of the ongoing Italian Festival for the Sustainable Development, organized yearly since 2016 by the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development.

Enel Foundation is proud to announce this masterclass as co-organizer and knowledge partner of the Siena Advanced School, in the framework of our recent partnership with SDSN. Together we are exploring ways to support the implementation of the European Green Deal by applying SDSN’s “Six transformations to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals”.

The opening lessons will be introduced by Enrico Giovannini, ASviS and Angelo Riccaboni; Santa Chiara Lab President spokesman coordinators of the school.
