Enel Foundation contributed to high- level initiatives throughout the COP28
As a United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change-accredited entity, Enel Foundation participated throughout the two-week COP28 climate summit conducted in Dubai, collaborating closely with partners like SEforALL, IRENA, IEA and WMO.
Key focus areas included sustainable finance, mitigation and electrification, adaptation and risk management, carbon markets, energy access and youth empowerment.
As a knowledge partner of IRENA's NewGen initiative, the Foundation helped empower young energy entrepreneurs, three of whom were honored at COP28.

Enel Foundation attended new generation of energy innovators for the NewGen Rising Stars Award
The Enel Foundation, as a knowledge partner of the IRENA NewGen program along with Social Alpha, attended the "NewGen Rising Stars Award" event. Eight startups selected from the NewGen program participants presented ideas to investors at the event, with three to be chosen as winners. The Enel Foundation had assisted in designing the curriculum, provided training and mentorship to the participants, and helped select the eight startups that had competed.

Enel Foundation furthers Politecnico di Milano partnership promoting next generation of green technologists
On the final day of COP28, Enel Foundation and Politecnico di Milano celebrated the 2nd Ambassador Program on Green Technologies and Smart Infrastructure, a training initiative for Master's students to enhance expertise on enabling energy transition tech. The program focuses on youth empowerment via university-industry knowledge exchange. As a Knowledge Partner since its inception, Enel Foundation will provide scientific support and involve Enel Group experts to enrich the skills-building curriculum.
