We4U 2022: World energy for Universities, our Academic Partners Annual Meeting

Enel Foundation is hosting the 6th edition of Enel’s annual meeting with Academic Partners under the framework of the World Energy for Universities (We4U) program, the Enel Group’s platform to develop research partnerships. The Meeting aims to be an opportunity to share the results achieved on the research front, to discuss the related emerging priorities related to the energy transition and to foster cooperation between Academic Partners and Enel Group on topics of common interest. 

The plenary session unfolds along three thematic panels that focus on new frontiers of Policy and Regulation, climate modelling and resilience of energy infrastructures and the central role of technology and customers in the fight for climate change. The event is attended by representatives of the academic partners (Rectors, Department Directors), subject-matter experts and representatives of Enel (CEO, President and Directors), discussing several opportunities related to the energy transition to identify synergies and shared development objectives between the corporate and academic worlds. 

The 2022 edition of We4U specifically aims to highlight some key issues to fight climate change by working together on mitigation and adaptation. Thanks to the interaction between representatives of the academic and corporate world, each panel brings out a specific challenge posed by climate change, a challenge that will then be published on openinnovability, the crowdsourcing platform of the Enel Group, so that researchers, entrepreneurs, start-ups and more in general representatives of the scientific community can contribute by proposing and developing solutions.
