Webinar on the prospects for green investments and finance

ISPI and Arca Fondi SGR held today a webinar titled “Global Scenarios - Oltre la crisi energetica: le prospettive per la finanza e gli investimenti green”. The webinar is part of the "Global Scenarios" series, which periodically touches upon topical issues related to global politics and economics. During May-June 2022, the cycle will address the implications of the war in Ukraine on key sectors for the Italian economy. 

The war in Ukraine is adding urgency to a fast energy transition, not only to make Europe less and less reliant on Russian fossil fuels but, in perspective, to achieve energy independence and decarbonisation of the economy. In light of the current situation and of such ambitious goals, it is all the more important to make quick and effective use of the resources of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and to implement public policies to attract private investment, such as. faster procedures for the deployment of renewable energies and smart infrastructure. 

How to mobilize the financial resources necessary to stimulate investments – particularly in the private sector - in projects that accelerate the transition? What are the investment priorities to ensure a faster and inclusive transition? 

These questions were discussed during the panel, attended by Carlo Papa, Managing Director Enel Foundation; Massimo Lombardini, Ricercatore Associato ISPI; già Policy Officer, DG Energia, Commissione Europea; Davide Grignani, Presidente, Aiaf; Stefano Scalera, Director General, Ministry of Economy and Finance; and Ugo Loeser, Amministratore Delegato e Direttore Generale, Arca Fondi Sgr. Debora Rosciani, Radio24, Il Sole 24Ore, moderated the event.
