ISPI and Enel Foundation again together to train Italian diplomats on energy transition and climate action

Enel Foundation and ISPI are proud to renew their knowledge partnership on high-level education. For the third year, the two organizations are supporting the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), contributing to the training of more than 60 Italian career diplomats. The training program addresses the international implications of energy transition and climate change, highlighting risks and opportunities for Italian diplomacy and national businesses.

Thanks to an interdisciplinary approach, the course offers the participants an overview of the socio-economic, technological, financial, regulatory and geopolitical aspects of energy transition and climate action, focusing on topics such as the development of new multidimensional country risk modelling factoring well-being, climate change and energy transition, the role of sustainable finance in boosting decarbonization, and the contribution of technology neutral approaches in evaluating energy transition needs, opportunities and speed.

The training mixes online and in presence lectures with experts and practitioners, ending up with a core module held in Milan that combines frontal classes and visits to Italian companies, included Gridspertise Smart Grid Lab, where the diplomats could appreciate the importance of electricity networks as enablers of the energy transition in Italy and at the global scale.
