December 4, 2020

The 2030 Agenda and SDGs encourage business and civil associations worldwide to promote ventures able to build communities increasingly focused on environment, inclusion and prosperity. In order to help start-ups face sustainability challenges effectively, ASviS - together with Enel Foundation, Cassa di Risparmio di Pistoia e Pescia Foundation - UNISERLars Magnus Ericsson Foundation and Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS) - launched the first edition of the Innovability School.

Dedicated to innovative start-ups, the school aims to relate business challenges to sustainability, circular economy and digital innovation to create new skills and to encourage the development of new businesses able to market innovative products with a high technological value.

Enel Foundation is Knowledge Partner of ASviS and has been supporting its educational projects, such as the Siena Advanced School on Sustainable Development, whose third edition was launched in September by Jeffrey Sachs, UNSDN President and Director of the Center of Sustainable Development at Columbia University.

Sustainable development is one of the core subjects of the Innovability School and it means:

-   To lay the groundwork of sustainable development’s scientific and methodological knowledge;

-   To deepen the understanding of issues related to circular economy and digitalization;

-   To share good practices without neglecting formal and regulatory aspects;

-   To support start-ups in their path towards sustainable growth;

-   To create a network made of teachers, experts and participants suitable for bearing start-ups in their business path.

The School is open to at least 15 innovative start-ups opened no sooner than 18 months before that need to deepen their knowledge on sustainable development. Activities will take place from January to June 2021 and are divided into 4 stages based on individual learning, webinars, theoretical lessons, seminaries and group works, and will be enriched by active participation of academics, representatives of institutions and organizations.

Applications are open till December 20th. Selected participants will receive a full scholarship provided by Enel Foundation, Cassa di Risparmio di Pistoia e Pescia Foundation - UNISER and Lars Magnus Ericsson Foundation.
