Overview

Francesco Davide Sanvito holds a MSc in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. During his studies, he was enrolled in a high educational programme titled Honours Programme – Engineering for Sustainable Development. His MSc dissertation was about long-term electricity load projections in rural areas for optimal mini-grid sizing.

Francesco is currently enrolled in a PhD course – Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology at Politecnico di Milano, also supported by Enel Foundation grant. The research Francesco is leading aims at providing a multi-layer framework able to couple high temporal and spatial resolved electric vehicle demand and optimization energy system models. The objective of the research is to fully investigate sector coupling synergies between e-Mobility and the energy sector in view of a deep and rapid system decarbonization.

Francesco follows side research activities that concern access to energy in rural contexts and exergoeconomic analysis.

He also contributed to four Scopus-indexed publications and he collaborated to the Roadmap to 2050: A Manual for Nations to Decarbonize by Mid-Century presented at COP25.
