Sustainable Energy for All Forum Kigali 2022

Launch of “PNRR Lab” with SDA Bocconi

SDA Bocconi School of Management is launching the PNRR Lab, a new project focused on the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with Enel Foundation as Knowledge Partner and founding member. Congratulations to Olakunle Alao for being selected as one of the five finalists for the CESAER Competition Best Idea 2021. Winner of the 2020 "Nelson Mandela Foundation OAP Prize", awarded by Enel Foundation and Nelson Mandela Foundation, and student of the 2020 edition of Open Africa Power, Olakunle and his team will be developing over the next few months the idea for bridging the sustainable electricity investment gap by using blockchain crowdfunding technology.

After the release of the paper “Beyond Energy: Incentivising Decarbonization through the Circular Economy”, published by the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES) and Enel Foundation at the beginning of April, two of its co-authors have launched a new podcast on the subject. Anupama Sen (OIES), and Carlo Napoli (Enel Foundation) here discuss the inadequacy of the hitherto predominant approach to decarbonisation, how a circular economy can be a strong complement to existing policies as well as the practical barriers to the implementation of said circular economy approaches.




Teaching Sustainable Finance at 24ORE Business School Master in Business Management

Over the course of the month of April, students studied some of the Italian FTSE MIB companies, analysing their financial results, sustainability indicators, and equity performances. The resulting report shows how the most sustainable companies are the most profitable ones achieving the best long-term equity performance.
