Assoreti and Enel Foundation to train financial consultants on ESG and sustainable finance

On the occasion of the first day of the Salone del Risparmio, we’re glad to announce that Assoreti, the Italian Association of financial consultancy firms, will work with Enel Foundation to provide ESG training to all the 25,000 financial consultants of its member firms. Currently managing the savings of 4,8 million Italians, by 2025 they could be handling portfolios worth 1,000 billion euros. Given also the growth prospects of the market, it is clear how great a role financial consultancy has to play in the Italian transition towards a more sustainable model. Newer generations will soon have the power to invest tens of billions of euros on sustainable enterprises, and it is therefore paramount that financial professionals develop skills and know-how on ESG-related issues to better lead future investments.

This was the focus of the conference “Sustainability: a shared commitment” promoted by Assoreti and Assoreti Formazione Studi e Ricerche, in collaboration with Enel Foundation. During the conference, that took place on the first day of the Salone del Risparmio, we announced a new project that addresses all the current financial consultants of the member firms of Assoreti, and  young talents that wish to start this career path and will lead Italians in their future and socially responsible investments.  

The collaboration includes on the one hand the structural integration of Assoreti Formazione’s training to the consultants, and on the other it offers young people who are interested in professionally joining the financial sector the skills and know-how to actively participate and contribute to the sustainable development of Italy. The consultants’ training comprises of specializing and executive courses on sustainability issues, certified and delivered either in class or online. Furthermore, in order to efficiently address youth and train them on ESG values, Assoreti and Enel Foundation will collaborate with national academic institutions, with the possibility of enriching current curricula on financial markets.
