COP 26 Youth Engagement web conference on Climate Negotiations

Enel Foundation and British Embassy Rome have joined forces to organise the web conference “The importance of climate negotiations - Raising awareness among future generations”, inspired by the book written by Federico Brocchieri, with the scientific support of Enel Foundation, published and presented last December on the 5th anniversary of the Paris Agreement.

The webinar wants to highlight the importance of climate negotiations to increase the level of ambition of global multilateral cooperation on climate, paying particular attention to the engagement and empowerment of new generations to boost international action in view of pre-COP and COP26.

The event, introduced by the British Ambassador Jill Morris and EF’s Managing Director Carlo Papa, will bring together key stakeholders in this field: Michele Crisostomo - Chairman Enel and Chair of the Enel Foundation Scientific Committee who signed the preface of the book, Huw Davies - UK Government Deputy Lead Negotiator at COP26, Federica Fricano – Italian Environment Ministry’s Head of the European and International Affairs Unit within the Directorate General for Climate, as well as the book’s author, Federico Brocchieri.

The conference will feature a 30-minute roundtable and a Q&A session with Antonio Navarra - University of Bologna and President of the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate ChangeRobert Stavins - A. J. Meyer Professor of Energy & Economic Development at the Harvard Kennedy School, and Nisreen Elsaim – United Nations’ Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change.

The webinar will be broadcast live today, Tuesday, January 26, at 4:00 pm (GMT +1), through the link available on the Enel Foundation Linkedin page.
