Inclusive business as a shared value opportunity: creating profitable solutions by meeting social needs

Inclusive business - namely the provision of inclusive goods and services to people in vulnerable conditions on a commercially viable basis - is one of the most promising trends for the future as it allows us to solve social needs and at the same time create profitable solutions and income opportunities for everybody.

The meeting, that sees Enel Foundation as Knowledge Partner, will be live streamed on December 2nd from 9:00 am to 4:30 p.m. CET from Rome’s National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art. and will see the participation of Enel CEO Francesco Starace, of Pedro Cortez-Impact Specialist at the UNDP, of  the OECD Director of the Centre for Well- being, Inclusion -Romina Boarini-, of the IFC Global Lead for Inclusive Business - Heather Kipnis- and of Christian Jahn, Executive Director Inclusive Business Action network and many other interesting  speakers from multinational companies, international organizations and social innovators put together in a unique framework. Finally, during the event there will be the collective immersive experience “Reading in the dark”, while in the afternoon 4 parallel sessions are going to take place about the following subjects:  product inclusion, inclusive communication, the antifragility skill as narrated by a Paralympic athlete and inclusive recruiting.

Enel Foundation contributed to the event by organizing an academic roundtable moderated by Christian Zulberti, Enel Foundation’s Deputy Director, and attended by Simona Cuomo, Coordinator of the Diversity, Inclusion & Smart Working Observatory, Bocconi University; Alicia Roman, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Initiatives, Columbia University; Silvia Barattieri, Head of Equal Opportunities Unit, Politecnico di Milano; Leigh Bernacchi, CITRIS-Merced program director, University of California Merced 12.

Working languages are English, Italian and Italian Sign Language. The streaming of the event will then be available on demand for 60 days following the event.
